The idea behind the blog came from two friends meeting up for coffee and wound up talking about God, life, and everything in between. We drank coffee, we laughed and we shared our love of the Word. We invited God to meet us at coffee and our lives haven’t been the same since. The goal of every post is to give you bite sized nuggets of wisdom and encouragement from the Bible to go along with your daily coffee (or tea)!

Katie, the author behind the posts at Coffee House Word, found God at 19 after a near death experience. Ever since then, her mission has been to spread joy and the love of God everywhere she goes. Her goal is to share the Word in a way that everyone can understand through everyday language and relatable (and mostly funny) stories.
